Memorial Day Weekend

Well, it is finally Jono's turn to say a few words here. The holiday weekend hasn't seen a lot of excitement. Kami wanted to spend the weekend in Utah but we got stuck staying here and spending time with my family. My sister came to visit from South Jordan so we had a BBQ at our house with our new grill. It was cold and a bit rainy -- not much fun for a BBQ. But, we made do and the three little girls were kind enough to leave the house in just one piece. But they did leave a nice mess on the dining room floor which brought the ants back from the dead. Yep, we've got ants in our pants, but mostly in our dining room. We are not sure where they're getting in. We've put some ant killer out but they just keep finding new places to crawl out.

Sunday evening took us on our Memorial Day trip to the cemetaries. We went to see my grandparents and great-grandparents at the Ucon and Ammon Cemetaries. I hadn't been there in a while and this was Kami's first time visiting cemetaries on Memorial Day weekend. It was a good experience and a little sobering. We managed to escape the awful storm clouds that were brewing, even though I think they were all talk. They didn't actually bring any serious rain.

Today we are being bored. We are planning another BBQ here later with friends but for now, we are struggling to come up with fun things to do on the holiday, other than grading math tests.
