We're really excited to announce the newest member of our family. He came home Saturday afternoon, weighing 125 lbs. He is dark and handsome and a wonderful addition to our home, although he has yet to recieve a name. Maybe tonight when we fire him up for the first time.
We ventured to Home Depot on Saturday and purchased a BBQ. Getting it home proved to be rather tricky. We both assumed that, unassembled, the package would fit into our spacious trunk...really, it is not a small trunk! So, we attempted to squeeze the large box into first our trunk, then our back seat. Honestly, we must have been a sight to behold. A pregnant lady, her adorable but injured husband, trying to somehow get this new purchase home. We honestly had like 5 people stop and ask if they could help, several even offering to drive it home (until they discovered that we live a good 20 minutes from the store). And, Jono cursed for the first time that Kami has EVER heard. Not usually something to be proud of, but in this case it just added to the mounting humor. Once we both had a few minutes to cool off (both emotionally and actual temperature), we had a good laugh about the whole thing. Later that night we went to play softball with some friends and we both realized we had sunburns! Kami was a bit confused as she thought we had only been outside a short time earlier, but turns out it was long enough to earn some pink skin.
Summer is finally rearing its head hear in Southeast Idaho. We enjoyed a beautiful weekend, with temperatures in the mid 80s. Luckily our house has stayed pretty cool so far, without air conditioning. Jono is taking bets to see how long Kami will last without AC, given that she has the three hotest months of pregnancy remaining and summer has only begun. Could get interesting :)
